Imagine a dandelion stem right under ball. Task is to WHIP through that stem with low-strain, high-velocity slashing motion toward target. Ball is just the 'precise intersection' on the way to your real target.
External focus removes brain's interference at impact; allows natural athletic motion to take over. Fixes ball-bound focus, hitting at ball instead of through it, tension, yips.
Tensing up over ball; deceleration through impact; fat/thin shots.
